Why Failure Is Part Of The Process

Not a detour from the path. The path.

July 2026

We say failure is a teacher and then behave as though it is a verdict.

The difference between a failure that builds you and one that flattens you is not the size of it. It is whether you extract the information before the shame arrives. Shame is fast. It reaches conclusions about your character before you have finished reading the data about your decisions.

Useful failure analysis is boring: what did I assume, what was actually true, what would I test differently. No adjectives about yourself.

**The lesson:** Separate the outcome from the identity. You made a decision with the information you had. Some of it was wrong. That is a sentence about a decision, not a person.

**The question this week:** What failure are you still carrying as identity instead of information?
